Okay all you fellow eco-zealots, we all know compost is good. Now
take it up a notch (sorry, Emril) and make sure that you're getting the
most out of your composting efforts.
Choose up to 4 materials from the drop down list and enter a cubic foot
measurement for them. Press TAB. The Total
Carbon:Nitrogen ratio for your mix will appear. It's just that
easy.
Aim for a total carbon to nitrogen ratio of 30. (25-30 is good. 20-40 is OK.)
